Syrian Uprising
Mourning women after they have visiting their village attacked by syrian forces. On 22. February the syrian army attacked the village of Kureen, Province of Idlib, Syria. Kureen was among the first villages in the northwest of Syria controlled by the opposition. Some villagers and members of the defence units escaped to surrounding olive orchards, when the attack begun in the early morning. A majority of the inhabitants didn´t manage to escape. The heavy shelling lasts 7 houres. Soldiers searched all houses, burnt some of them down, loote shops, stole cars and furniture. About 60 motorcycles were burnt down. Tanks demolished several houses. 6 men were executed. One woman died as a result of an heart attack.
