Operation Orpheus - Nawabad, Northern Afghanistan

A Safe House has been set up for the following days. The conditions are very basic. Soldiers kidding on a carton toilet the have to use. In late October 2011 Kunduz based 3.Task Force started a several days operation in and around Nawabad (District Chahar Darah), west of Kunduz, northern Afghanistan. During the Operation Orpheus about 100 german infantery soldiers rolled out for patrols through the town and surrounding areas, which were expected as a retreat zone of insurgents.
