Operation Orpheus - Nawabad, Northern Afghanistan

Soldiers playing a table game waiting for new orders inside an District Headquarters near Nawabad, whcih is located inside the District Headquarters of the afghan Police. In late October 2011 Kunduz based 3.Task Force started a several days operation in and around Nawabad (District Chahar Darah), west of Kunduz, northern Afghanistan. During the Operation Orpheus about 100 german infantery soldiers rolled out for patrols through the town and surrounding areas, which were expected as a retreat zone of insurgents.
