Operation Orpheus - Nawabad, Northern Afghanistan
An armored Dingo vehicle of the ECHO patoon sunk and stuck after the driver accidentially lost the way through a ford in the Konduz river near Rahmat Bay. After comrades supports the passengers to get out of the truck before they rescue it. In late October 2011 Kunduz based 3.Task Force started a several days operation in and around Nawabad (District Chahar Darah), west of Kunduz, northern Afghanistan. During the Operation Orpheus about 100 german infantery soldiers rolled out for patrols through the town and surrounding areas, which were expected as a retreat zone of insurgents.
