Idlib Province: Revisitation April 2012
The truce by the Annan Six Point Plan for Syria was just in effect several days when those photographs were taken.
It was a journey through Syrias northwestern province of Idlib after being under military pressure by government loyal troops and militias carrying out massive attacks on villages before.
As some villages were abandoned by the majority of its inhabitants who fled to Turkey, others also hard hit settlements undergo recontruction works by house owners. The countryside presented itself as controlled by FSA rebels who got support by a Sunni majority. People tried to get back to normal. No doubt, people had left their fear behind. Knowing the Assad-Regime won´t give up, everyone expected the truce won´t last long and new clashes will erupt again.
