Castor Transport - 2011
In December 2011 another 11 Castor containers reached the temporary storage hall in Gorleben (Northern Germany). 20.000 police forces accompanied the high radioctive waste transport. tens of tousand protesters blocked it´s way from La Hague (France) to Gorleben by demonstrations, sit-in´s and direct actions like locking their bodys into concrete blocks on the tracks. Because of the massive protests the transport has needes 126 houres to reach the nuclear facility. Thus this was the longest transportation time ever since. Gorleben is legendary for it´s 35 years of peoples mass civil disobedience against the use of nuclear enegry in Germany.
